Barcelona Set to Play Historic Match at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend

Barcelona have announced their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in the Spanish league 30 months following their departure for construction to commence.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

The stadium will not be at full capacity with 45,401 fans can be present as per the current authorization. After final construction, the Camp Nou is due to hold over 104,000 attendees, a rise from the old capacity. Barça announced recent additions comprise an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

The club conducted a fan-accessible workout on the home pitch on 7 November. Officials stated approval is being pursued from Uefa to host the next European match versus the German side next month in the renovated venue. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
