Curtis Jones has disclosed that the Egyptian forward apologised to the team after the uproar from his televised remarks.

What Happened

Salah was left out from a vital match following criticising the club and stating his connection to the head coach had soured.

“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, I'm sorry.’”

Arne Slot has chosen not to reveal on whether he was apologised to from the player.

The player stated that the squad's reaction stayed normal. “He was his usual self, his demeanour was positive and everybody was exactly the same with him,” he continued.

He also implied that a competitor wanting to play is a positive trait. “I get that there are specific approaches you can express yourself,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just not start, then I think that’s concerning.”

Team Form

Liverpool's form have been impressive in the matches since the interview fallout. The player is convinced the outburst were not intended to destabilise the squad.
