This young athlete has considerable online presence

The young golfer will have numerous well-known supporters as she begins her LPGA debut this Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to Donald Trump, was granted a special exemption to play at the Annika competition in Florida.

The former president, a passionate golfer, operates multiple golf courses and frequently matches against Kai.

"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we have tight competitions," she stated.

The golfer shared that Trump, unable to come, counseled her: "Simply don't get nervous."

"My grandpa basically advised me to go out there and enjoy myself," she added.

"From my perspective, he's just a regular grandfather. He won't be there this weekend. He's busy with presidential duties, so he's somewhat preoccupied."

Being non-professional, the golfer has participated in just three tournaments this year and maintains ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.

Yet she's able to get advice from golf legend, in a relationship with Vanessa.

"He is the greatest golfer worldwide," the young golfer said.

"And he's a more impressive human being. He advised me to go out there, have fun, and go with the flow."

Kai will face some of the biggest names in the sport at this tournament, such as world number two Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.

Officials mentioned that involving Kai helps introduce the sport to wider groups, particularly reaching the next generation.

The young star maintains a massive following and recently launched a personal fashion and living brand.

The competition starts at 5:30 PM GMT.
